The documents on this page are for information and historical reference only. They are not currently live supporting documents.

Following the AGMA meeting on 12th February, Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan councils will all be asked to agree to form a joint committee to prepare Places for Everyone - a joint development plan for jobs, new homes and sustainable growth across their boroughs.

Background documents

The files below contain the background documents that support the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework 2020.

The ‘Greater Manchester’ file group contains strategic evidence that supports the plan such as the Strategic Housing Market Assessment, Green Belt Assessment and Viability Assessment.

The ‘Cross-boundary’ file group contains documents relating to Strategic Allocations located in more than one Local Authority area. The Cross-boundary strategic allocations are GMA1.1 Northern Gateway (Heywood/Pilsworth), GMA 1.2 Northern Gateway (Simister/Bowlee), GMA2 Stakehill, GMA3.1 Medipark and GMA3.2 Timperley Wedge.

The 10 remaining district file groups contain background documents specific to each named Local Authority area including their Strategic Allocations.
