Funding Opportunities

Are you driven to support individuals to gain good quality jobs in growing industries? Do you strive to work with employers to build their talent pipeline and address skills gaps?

Join Greater Manchester’s Skills Bootcamps family.

Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) has been awarded £7m for the next phase of Skills Bootcamps delivery in 2023 to 2024, via the DfE funded National Skills Fund.

Skills Bootcamps aim to build job prospects and support economic recovery, as well as help adults gain skills sought after by employers. For the next wave of Skills Bootcamps, GMCA aims to build on what has previously worked well to deliver job outcomes and utilise funding to address skills gaps.

Various opportunities are now live for training providers to bid for and deliver training in the below industries:

  • Digital, Technology & Creative
  • Construction & Green Skills
  • Manufacturing
  • Logistics
  • Education, Health, & Social Care
  • Hospitality, Leisure & Tourism

Providers must ensure that any learners enrolled on a Skills Bootcamp receive a guaranteed interview and achieve a successful outcome, including gaining a new or better role, upskilling with their current employer or gaining increased work (in the case of the self employed) within six months of completion.

If you are an employer or training provider interested in supporting training delivery, ensure you are signed up to The Chest procurement portal and the Skills for Growth / Skills Bootcamps Newsletter Mailing List to be kept up to date with our latest commissioning opportunities. We will also be sharing updates on this webpage.

GMCA’s Skills Bootcamps team is running two online information events to run through the specification and bidding process.
