Switch to Digital Careers Week announced to help people career switch into tech


This October, Manchester Digital and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), will be running Switch to Digital Week, a new week-long event aimed at people interested in exploring a career in the digital and tech sector.

Coinciding with the end of the furlough scheme, the event will bring together individuals and businesses from across the sector to share information and actionable advice about the industry for those considering switching careers.

From 5th - 9th October daily events will take place online which will be filled with practical advice on the digital and tech sector. We’ll be looking in detail at the different job roles, the skills required, how and where to find the right training opportunities, and how to take the next steps to a new career.

Each day will feature different events with speakers from some of the leading tech firms such as Co-op Digital, Code Nation, Slalom, Microsoft and Zuhlke, along with a speed mentoring event speed mentoring event at the end of the week, giving attendees the opportunity to come face to face and ask advice from people of all levels already working within the industry.

This event is free to attend and suitable for people of all ages and from backgrounds who are interested in working in the digital and tech sector.
