Returning to early years and childcare settings during Covid-19

The Greater Manchester (GM) School Readiness programme and the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership have developed these films which aim to reassure and reduce parental anxieties about children returning to early years and childcare settings. We hope the films will reassure parents and carers about the precautions childcare providers are taking in relation to COVID-19 to make sure they are operating safely and the support settings are offering to welcome back children.

The films also aim to highlight the benefits of children attending early education settings for their personal, social and emotional development, early language skills and physical development as well as focussing on the roles of the early years’ workforce in supporting children and families throughout lockdown and into the living with COVID-19.
