SEND
GMCA works with the ten GM local authorities and partners on a range of activity designed to improve the experience of Children and Young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We believe that all children and young people with SEND deserve the right to achieve their potential.
GM have also worked to develop Autism in School Training/PIMS Training to support teachers/early years practitioners with supporting children with SEND.
The Greater Manchester SEND Programme is overseen by the Greater Manchester SEND Board. This board provides strategic oversight of the SEND policy area at a Greater Manchester level including a range of projects designed to improve the experience of children & young people with SEND and their families.
