We Lead for Legacy: 2025 Greater Manchester Civic Leadership Programme

Applications are now OPEN to join the 2025 We Lead for Legacy, the Greater Manchester Civic Leadership Programme.

Delivered by She Leads for Legacy and Flourish Together, the programme aims to provide participants from racially minoritised communities across Greater Manchester with first-hand insight into the roles and responsibilities of public appointees, understanding the systems and procedures of public bodies, and building the awareness, confidence, and skills to step into civic leadership roles.

A programme Participant from 2023-2024 said: “The programme has helped me massively, and it's helped me realise that I have a lot to give back to my community and it's empowered me to do that as well. They've supported each and every one of us and, they've given us opportunities to grow, massive opportunities to grow.”

We are looking for Greater Manchester residents from racially diverse backgrounds who are passionate about making a difference and ready to develop their leadership skills to apply now.

By empowering and nurturing leaders from all backgrounds across Greater Manchester, we're committed to making sure our leadership and decision-making reflects the rich cultures of our city-region. 

“Since the Programme started, we’ve welcomed over 60 aspiring leaders from racially minoritised communities. These cohorts have gained invaluable skills and experiences, enabling them to become changemakers across Greater Manchester. Their success is why our programme so valuable.
