Modifications

The GMCA submitted Places for Everyone for examination on 14 February 2022. Inspectors were appointed and examination hearings were held between 1 November 2022 and 5 July 2023.

GMCA, on behalf of the nine local planning authorities, has asked the Inspectors to recommend the modifications that are necessary to make Places for Everyone sound and legally compliant.

In Inspectors Note 39 (IN39) (link to external webpage), the Inspectors state that they are satisfied at this stage of the examination that all of the proposed main modifications to Places for Everyone are necessary to make the Plan sound and/or legally compliant.

A Main Modifications Schedule, Composite Plan and Schedule of Policies Map Changes have all been prepared. A Sustainability Appraisal and Habitats Regulations Assessment of the Main Modifications have been carried out.

Below you can see the Consultation Documents as presented to District Governance Meetings. The public consultation will begin following the completion of the approval process.
