Places for Everyone Examination 2022-23


The Places for Everyone Joint Development Plan Document is now the subject of an independent examination, conducted by the Planning Inspectorate. This process began from the date of submission (14 February 2022) and will conclude upon receipt of the Planning Inspectors Report. Examination website

The Examination website is hosted by the Programme Officers and the contact is controlled by the Inspectors and Programme Officers. This is where updates and documents in relation to the examination will be made available to participants and the public.

Inspectors

The Secretary of State has appointed William Fieldhouse BA(Hons) MA MRTPI, Louise Gibbons BA(Hons) MRTPI and Steven Lee BA(Hons) MA MRTPI to conduct an independent examination of the Places for Everyone Joint Development Plan Document.

Programme Officers

GMCA has appointed Helen Wilson and Yvonne Parker as joint Programme Officers. Their role is to assist in the organisation and administration of the examination under the direction of the Inspectors. They act as the communication channel between the Inspectors, GMCA and the nine GM local authorities, and other participants.

Venue

The hearing sessions are to be held at the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service Training Centre, Cassidy Close, Manchester, M4 5HU.

Getting there

Bus

The Training Centre is served by bus services 74, 76, 76A, and 114 which stop nearby either on Oldham Road (outside Wing Yip Supermarket) or Thompson Street. Departure times and travel information is available on the TfGM website.

Train

Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Victoria railway stations are approximately five minutes by road and 20 minute walk from the Training Centre. Taxi ranks are located outside each station concourse.

Tram

The closest tram stop to the Training Centre is Shudehill which is an 11 minute walk away.

Accessible car parking

There is accessible car parking on site.
