Greater Manchester Housing Market Monitor
The Greater Manchester Housing Market Monitor is a collection of interactive dashboards that visualise, and draw out key facts about housing market data. Most of the data centres on Greater Manchester only, but in some cases, higher level geography data such as England and Wales is used. The Monitor covers a range of themes listed below:
- Supply - This dashboard provides insight on the supply of new housing and affordable housing completions.
- Prices - The Prices dashboard explores house prices, how they've changed over time, as well as number of sales and mortgage interest rates.
- Rents - This dashboard sets out rental prices, their change over time and the number of benefits claimants.
- Tenure - This dashboard explores the breakdown of tenure across Greater Manchester.
- Availability - The Availability dashboard provides an overview about the supply of social homes availability, as well as the number of vacant homes.
- Demand - This dashboard details the number of households on housing registers in Greater Manchester, and reviews those in reasonable preference.
- Quality - The Quality dashboard explores the quality of Greater Manchester's housing stock, based on stock condition modelling data of decent, and non-decent homes, as well of those with category 1 housing health and safety hazards.
- Homelessness - This dashboard presents data relating to the experience of homelessness across Greater Manchester from statutory duties to rough sleeping and more.
- Energy - This is a page in a wider environmental dashboard focussing on the energy efficiency of housing in Greater Manchester, including EPC ratings.
These dashboards will be updated regularly as and when new data is released, and most of the data used is freely available to download.
