Young People: Research
We undertake a variety of research focused around Young people and social cohesion.
We are supporting a dedicated analysis of developmental progress in Greater Manchester children between the ages of one month to 5 ½ years, to support the Greater Manchester focus on School Readiness. This is being taken forward with school readiness locality leads, performance leads and finance leads, with a view to informing a programme of work looking at opportunities for collaborative commissioning and joint investment in evidence-based best practice.
We also provide data analysis and research services to support the ambitions of the Greater Manchester Children’s Services Review. For example, a Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) has been undertaken to inform the development of a Greater Manchester Complex Safeguarding Hub and Spoke Model - Wigan and Rochdale Child Sexual Exploitation Innovation Project (Achieving Change Together).
Our research publications includes:
- Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) dashboard
Analysis of school readiness across each of the ten localities. - Greater Manchester Talent Match
Research and evaluation support to the Big Lottery Fund programme that aims to support young people who are not in employment, education or training.
