The Greater Manchester Combined Authority is a Public Authority, and we have a number of legal responsibilities to provide services to you in Greater Manchester (GM). These services include:

Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service (GMFRS): keeping you safe, saving lives, protecting communities, working together across GM.

Police and Crime Commissioner: Keeping people safe and supporting victims, reducing harm and offending, strengthening communities and places, tackling inequality and injustice in all its forms including gender-based violence and delivering for victims, communities and partnership across GM.

GM Waste and Resources: Responsible for the management and disposal of municipal waste from Greater Manchester (formerly known as Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority).
