Rivca Burns

Rivca has officially worked within the music industry as a freelance creative producer for the past 12 years. She is currently the Creative Director of Sounds From the Other City (Salford) since 2010 and Director of the music residency program, Samarbeta since 2014.

As well as Festival Square Programme Producer for Manchester International Festival in both 2019 & 2021 and lecturer in Events Management at BIMM.

Previous roles have included a bit of everything, working within venues, record labels, gig promotion, festivals and PR companies including Islington Mill, Future Everything, Manchester Pride & AND Festival.

When Riv was a student back in 2005, she started promoting gigs in venues across the North West that always seemed to naturally put women front and centre of the stage and filling the wings too, something she still strives to do to this day.
