Sour Grapes Records

Sour Grapes Records is a Manchester based record label and promoter, operating with the historic Manchester ethos of artists first.

Since starting as a resident band night at another one of the cities famed institutions (Big Hands Bar), the label has gone on the release music on a global scale with cassettes as their USP.

They are a stopping point for some of Europes best touring psych and garage rock groups; owners of the last cassette shop in the UK (Mars Tapes) and even have a weekly local radio show on North Manchester FM 106.6.

Founded by an Italian, a Spaniard and an Anglo-Egyptian in 2017 the label thinks globally, but very much acts locally always striving to bring out the best of Manchester in its shows, releases and outreach.
