Voltalab

Voltalab Sound Studios is an independent recording facility in Rochdale, housed in the former Cargo Studios building which is full of Greater Manchester history with artists such as Joy Division, The Fall and Nico recording there.

Voltalab offers production, recording and mixing services to all genres of musicians, as well as a rehearsal space for local bands and music lessons.

In collaboration with a local cinematographer, Voltalab Live is released monthly, showcasing artists performing live in the studio.

Voltalab is run by Jamie Alsop, a sound engineer and musician, alongside studio manager Laura Howkins, a Salford University graduate.
