Support available for businesses in Greater Manchester

There are more than 100,000 businesses in Greater Manchester and we are committed to helping them grow. We work alongside the Growth Company (GC) to ensure businesses have access to the right funding, skills and innovation support.

Business Growth Hub and Support

The Business Growth Hub (external website), part of The Growth Company, was set up in 2011 and has since helped thousands of businesses across Greater Manchester. They support businesses at all stages of their growth journey with a broad range of services including expert one-to-one and peer-to-peer business support, events, specialist programmes and access to finance advice. Social Enterprise Advisory Group

A Social Enterprise Advisory Group has been established to advise on how to help create a social enterprise sector which contributes towards greater productivity, flexibility and agility in our economy. It brings together representatives from the different types of ‘social enterprise’ (including co-ops, trading charities), and aspires to have parity of representation across geography, gender, race, age to reflect the social enterprise movement in Greater Manchester.
