Autumn Update on The Information Sharing Project

Autumn update on the Information Sharing Project

Back in May, we reached out for a multi-agency steering group and network points of contact to help spread awareness and shape the project process and platform. We now have a steering group with members from Local Authorities, GMCA, TfGM, GMFRS, Housing, VCFSE, GMP, Probation, Healthwatch, and NHS organisations. If you still want to be represented, please get in touch to discuss the commitment required.

Through this steering group, we’ve engaged a range of groups across Greater Manchester to raise awareness of the Information Sharing Framework project and our goals. We’ve built connections with sector networks like Healthwatch GM, GM Housing, 10GM, and the Chamber of Commerce. There’s always more work to do, so if you’re part of a network we need to engage with, please reach out for an update.

Summer was exciting as we secured a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Innovate UK. We’ve been working with the University of Salford to recruit an associate to support this project, and we look forward to rolling out this aspect in the new year.

October was busy with a series of in-person workshops across Greater Manchester. We had great engagement from attendees who shared their views, helping us shape our first draft versions of a process for information sharing and a suitable platform proposal. Attendees provided fantastic ideas for areas of focus and interesting platform functions, such as interactive vision statements for project proposals.

What’s next?

We have a couple more virtual workshops at the end of November to offer a condensed version of the in-person workshops. After this, we’ll focus on our platform proposal and draft process model. These will allow us to move into the next phase in the new year, focusing on finalizing these proposals with stakeholders and planning our building phase. Stay tuned for details on our “Products Tour” and the follow-on working group sessions we’ll be advertising in our building phase. Another opportunity to ensure your organisation’s needs are reflected in the framework.
