
Adoption
Following public consultation on the draft South Pennine Moors Special Area of Conservation (SAC)/ Special Protection Areas (SPAs) Joint Supplementary Planning Document (South Pennine Moors Joint SPD) between 01 November and 12 December 2024, Oldham Council, Rochdale Council and Tameside Council resolved to adopt the SPD at Cabinet meetings held in March 2025.
The South Pennine Moors Joint SPD took effect on 08 May 2025 and is a material consideration on planning application decisions.
Any person with sufficient interest in the decision to adopt the South Pennine Moors SAC/SPAs Joint Supplementary Planning Document may make an application to the High Court for permission to apply for judicial review of that decision.
Any such application to the High Court must be made promptly and in any event not later than 3 months after the date on which the supplementary planning document was adopted (see above for adoption date).
