In February, the GMCA launched the Greater Manchester Digital Blueprint. The blueprint sets out the next chapter in our ambition to be recognised as a world-leading digital city region, with an ongoing commitment to taking an open, innovative and connective approach to delivering that ambition. We remain committed to being a digital city-region with a difference. By putting people at the heart of our plans we aim for a more inclusive approach that builds on our greatest asset.

Vulnerable individuals across Greater Manchester who are experiencing, or are at risk of, rough sleeping are now benefitting through the digitisation of an existing case management system used by the region’s A Bed Every Night (ABEN) scheme.

To mark Get Online Week, Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) has launched an innovative tool which helps organisations identify areas with high levels of digital exclusion risk

This fully-funded 12-hour course with masterclasses and workshops will provide you with an understanding of how to promote your business, a tailored Growth Action Plan, further resources and access to the HOST Salford community.

 

A cutting-edge scheme to deliver Artificial Intelligence expertise to Greater Manchester’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs) is celebrating a year of supporting more than 100 businesses.

This year, the government is investing £2.5 billion in the National Skills Fund as part of its Plan for Jobs. The National Skills Fund will help adults to train and gain the valuable skills they need to improve their job prospects. As part of the National Skills Fund, the government has funded a wide variety of Skills Bootcamps, which offer adults aged 19 and over with the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with a local employer.
