Digitober Communications Toolkit
This toolkit is to support partners sharing messages to promote Digitober.
GMCA are running Digitober to raise awareness and celebrate the work that has and is being done across the Greater Manchester Digital Sector. We want to make sure that all residents and businesses across Greater Manchester can benefit from the opportunities that digital can bring, which is why we are delivering Digitober a month of events and activities themed around digital inclusion.
GMFRS Water Safety Campaign Toolkit
Vulnerability Communications Toolkit
This toolkit is to support partners in amplifying Greater Manchester-wide messaging in relation to how we are working together to keep people safe, particularly those residents who are more at risk of domestic abuse, exploitation, and other crimes that affect the more vulnerable in our communities.
With families spending more time at home, there is an increased risk of incidents such as domestic abuse towards both children and adults. Support which has previously been in place has changed for many, and is potentially inaccessible for some.
The key audiences include victims and survivors, their families and friends and neighbours, children and young people who may be witnesses or perpetrators, and perpetrators themselves.
Thank you for your support.
Local full fibre network rollout communications toolkit
This toolkit is to support partners sharing messaging on the local full fibre network programme (LFFN) in their localities.
In March 2020, we secured world-class digital infrastructure through biggest government full-fibre investment in the UK, through the appointment of Virgin Media Business up to 2,700km of new fibre optic broadband infrastructure will be delivered across the region. The £23.8M Local Full Fibre Networks Programme will connect more than 1,500 public sites across the city-region. In addition, some sites in Salford and Manchester will see their connectivity upgraded and a further 36 public sites will be connected through the innovative Tameside Cooperative, enhancing Greater Manchester’s position as a leading European digital city region.
Greater Manchester Technology Fund
This toolkit is to support partners sharing messaging on the Greater Manchester (GM) Technology Fund.
The Greater Manchester Technology Fund provides schools and colleges with the technology needed in ‘at-home’ settings to continue their learning. The fund will reach and support the most vulnerable young people and their families across the region. The new Technology Fund aims to provide learners at risk of digital isolation with the technology and connectivity needed to continue their learning at home while schools and colleges remain closed.
